I was assuming that the offshore manufacturer is properly granted licence to use / pays royalties to patent holder. How many Australian patents have been granted to Australian inventors, then licenced to some entity yo use / manufacture overseas, but the finished product is not in breach of any Australian law if imported back i to Australia. One prime example ... WiFi technology, invented and patented by CSIRO (after much legal fighting), but there is no impediment to importing equipment into Aust that contains WiFi tech ( on which the manufacturer has paid appropriate licence fees/royalties).
