It is my understanding that Carrapateena has somewhat limited appeal based on the shape of the orebody (something like a champagne flute?) as well as the extreme depth.

I have not personally seen any data but Teck spent a bomb on it- with the geos with overall responsibilty no longer part of the company!

Teck now appears to have some of its balance sheet back in order and I would have thought that if Carapateena was so fantastic Teck would be developing it themselves.

In addition, Gomez was meant to receive a percentage of any NPV resulting from a scoping study as final payment. Guess the scoping study was negative?

As a final observation, the project has been for sale since pre Xmas.
