    Sorry early on I meant 9.0 million square metres x 500 metres deep = aporox. 4.5 billion cubic metres.

    Sorry.

    I had said 4.5million x 500, which was incorrect.

    So, it should have said 9.0 million square metres (surface area) x 500 metres depth of carbonatite (althought it goes mych deeper ny the looks of things) comes out at approx.4.5 billion cubic metres.
