The CGT event is the point at which you make a capital gain or loss. The first shares you purchase will always be the first shares you sell. So if you buy 100,000 shares for three cents.
12 months later purchase 100,000 shares at 16c then 1 month later sell 100,000 shares for 12c you will be paying the reduced capital chains tax because you held for over 12months on the 100,000 shares sold at a 9c per share profit.
it will not be 50% cgt because holding for longer than 12 months.
prob more like 33.5% of the 9c per share profit.
