to be fair they were already struggling to grow profit. They had too many products, no online presence, relied heavily on salespeople in bricks and mortor stores for debt origination. They did a half hearted attempt at BNPL with Oxipay and by the time they did a proper attempt and developed an online presence it was all too late.
However they now have the benefit of good IT systems, have got rid of all the old deadwood plus the new ones that weren’t working and are ready to move forward again. A difficult time with high interest rates, potential recession etc but they should have the experience to get through that and then grow again,
