Have to concede it’s been a little sobering to have the suspension.
Either it’s just an update that the gov wants a royalty cut on DSO / is going to block DSO, in which case the suspension feels unwarranted (the impact on confidence going forward is in my view likely to be more damaged by the suspension and lack of information than just putting it on the table).
Or it mentions something beyond the DSO, or at least implies as much, in which case the announcements would in my view border into misleading. I have to imagine this is not the case.
For those supportive of the suspension, what’s the scenario in which this looks like the right call coming o the other side? An announcement that gov wanted to block DSO but LLL’s strong relations means we’ve worked something out? Would that have justified the suspension?
All out of our hands at this stage, and hopefully all positively cleared up in the next day.
