not so, I rate it as ineffective (so far, and likely to continue thus) because it is a minuscule amount when weighed against 5bn soi.

Consolidation doesn’t preclude a buy back continuing if so desired and would likely be more effective against a much reduced soi base.

agreed a consolidation often impacts the post cons price, but less of a risk here when the fundamentals are so good.

I believe moving it out of pip trading range will be helpful in this never ending share price war of attrition.
