Their contract pricing uses multiple periods. So current quarter is last quarter plus this quarters spot pricing.
That in effect smooths the volatility of pricing. They don't get all the upside but don't get all the downside either.
Makes it effective for volatile pricing in China contracts. In hindsight probably a good thing.
