Sure, no problem. The speculation had its origin here on HC. More than one poster including me raised the question / fear that Mr. Friedland could take CNQ private. Apparently he needs CNQ for several project (Sunrise, Go2Lithium, copper project in the DRC). And he is the largest shareholder close to the max of 20% which would trigger the requirement to make an offer for the rest for the company. I also discussed this with Willem back in March 2023. He did not comment this in detail but confirmed the above mentioned requirement if Mr. Friedland's ownership in the company reaches 20% or more.
