In the broker's view a possible outcome with respect to the Gladstone LNG project is that Shell will consolidate the Santos/Petronas vehicle with its own Curtis Island project. Such a tie-up is logical in the broker's view.
Given any moves by Shell are just speculation at present the broker makes no change to its Overweight rating for Santos.
Target price is $15.60 Current Price is $13.90 Difference: $1.7
If STO meets the JP Morgan target it will return approximately 12% (excluding dividends, fees and charges).
