Kariba, for example, is at about 2% of capacity for power generation. About half of Zimbabwe’s power is supposed to come from there, but can’t now. Power has been turned off up to 19 hours a day because of it, and there have been periods of zero power production. I haven’t been able to find Caborra figures, but the lake is similarly in trouble there. I think a third of its power generation is supposed to go to South Africa, so it’s a regional problem over a decade in the making.
