When I visited the Waitomo glow worm caves many years ago, the guide pointed out the shape of an animal formed by the glow worms. It was then I realised I needed imagination, something I don't have much of. I'm sure there is usually more glow worms and the expensive tour was just on a day when the glow worms were on holidays. A bit like travelling to Finland for the northern lights and seeing nothing.
