Totally agree Secondsight. Australia has always been slow to support invention and innovation. They can blow huge amounts of money in some areas with no discernible return but when it comes accepting a level of risk in supporting new industries our governments suddenly become tight arse penny pinchers.
When comes to supporting manufacturing/innovation they do talk the talk as we’ve witnessed but they dither for so long at the commitment stage that the opportunity is lost.
I don’t know what it will take to wake them up.
