Renting is fine if you are disciplined enough to save and invest.
But as 90% of retirees rely on Centrelink, this suggests that good old hedonism is still very much alive and well.
If nothing else having a mortage forces you to pay off an assett, as opposed to renting when you are free to burn as much cash as you desire.
Still, each to their own I guess...
