The following is a quote from Prof. D'Arcy Holman in an article in The Sunday Times, W.A. 18/07/10. suggesting what the experts would do to ease congestion on our freeways. Professor Holman is on the road safety council. A perfect example of the mindless gibberish that emanates from the road safety clowns in W.A.
" Reducing the number of crashes saves lives, reduces injuries and increases reliability of travel time. Intersection crashes remain a great problem in metro areas, often resulting in serious injury and significant delays. In the future, more well designed roundabouts, for example, could ease congestion and reduce crashes. Variable speed limits, combined with automated enforcement, can reduce journey times, enable smooth-flowing trafficand reduce crashes."
