First paper! TLDR: Solid state method to synthesize cathode powders can be on-par with those made by co-precipitation method. Benefit is less water used and less waste produced. Adding W improves some aspects of the single crystal material. https://lnkd.in/gDkeJtS3

Zhang et al.‘s work was motivated by the search for a more efficient synthesis process for the large quantities of cathode materials produced every year. It built off prior work from Li Tuo Zheng et al. who use an all-dry solid-state method to synthesize NMC622 [16]
