Yes I've got a financial advisor friend, and do the opposite to what she says is good practice.
How otherwise does the punter with time on their hands to research, stand a chance with small capital?
There is often a window to seize opportunity on speccies before the instos get on board.
I have held since 2010, been through a lot of ups and downs.
Funnily enough topped up a bit around the same time as you, and am happy.

My friend is confounded. I told her, only a few of my speccies needed to take off.
She never does any decent research, to her it's just charts. And index hugging.
I do the macroeconomics, then sectors, then search for unloved stocks and thoroughly research the BODs, expertise and links.
Creasy has always been a huge plus to me and his involvement with sale of Andover was a biggie. As is TRs expertise, I took Jubilee Mines as a precedent and he has said in interview I think I've probably got another big discovery in me.
I can't wait for AZS to mature. There are other tenements too, including gold at Barton that's on hold.

It's bewildering to me that I ended up on top of some kind of stock pickers chart it just can't be.
They don't know how many times I've lost over the years sometimes spectacularly, but over the past 12 months narrowed the field right down.
I've always had a buy signal on a stock that I back it's a conviction thing. The metrics on that stock pickers thing are weird!
My other major stock has been sold down stupidly and I will rebalance that on Monday and buy when others are fearful.
I can't see the point of buying at a premium. That's for later when I'm doing a set and forget thing, but on the other hand AZS may shape up to be a major diversified producer. That prospect gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

A prominent poster chased me down to another forum on a stock that took a beating on Friday (a very big day!) and made claims that show his total ignorance on that stock, just seizing on drama.
I now finally have him on ignore.

    All good!
