If the company is confident of meeting their KPIs this quarter, they may not be too fussed whether the SPP is successful or not. And its not underwritten either.
They've already got $4mill of placement funds to keep them going for a while.
The SPP may only have been intended to appease rightly disgruntled shareholders. Bonus for the company if they get another $2mill.
