Have we heard any further news about NIC's intention to get much of their production electricity from solar power?
If I recall correctly there was at least one MOU signed with a large Malaysian contractor with proven ability at scale, to provide 2GW of Solar power. NIC will not build the farm but will sign an offtake guarantee. I think there may have been two such projects mooted, totalling 4GW, but I'm not sure, it was so long ago.
Tsingshan, also long ago now, said they would be transitioning to renewable energy.
Given the current state of Earth's climate, I think we are well overdue for an update.
