Consensus from TheAustralian and AFR is that incoming CEO Brett Woods is highly regarded within Santos and that Beach is fortunate to have
him as new CEO.
Two analysts were sceptical about the timing as announcement was so close to Monday’s Full Year BPT results. Like disappointing news on Waitsia
The suggestion is Seven Group definitely has a hand in this appointment and Brett Woods would have been approached a lot earlier.
