I believe it says a lot about the current power and strength of Lynas that :-
(1) The company has the ability to secure US government funding in the 100's milllions of dollars to develop and extend existing facilities which will generate substantial future cash flows AND (2) That this announcement had very little impact on the share price.
In days gone by, when LYC was a much smaller and more fragile business, this announcement would have moved the needle by 10% - 15% in a matter of hours.
I sleep very soundly knowing that this business is the premier non-China supplier of REE production and technology to the West and that $100s millions of dollars merely stenthen its grip on that title a little further.
AL, her team and JARE must be given all the credit for picking up LYC off the floor in 2014/15/16 against all odds and taking many shareholders with them to an unbelievable position of financial strength.
This is a keeper for the long long long term draw.
