You are correct it had a small impact on stock. Did you ever try to figure out why carefully. There are 933 M shares outstanding. So size of all the US grants divided by shares is just over AU$0.20. It is meant to pay for a plant which means it is CAPX. In Us that means it will be recognized over the next 20 ~30 years. US accounting applies not AU. So total impact of grant will be about 1 Cent per year to earnings. How much do you think that should move stock up? As Lynas grows it will attract new investors. These investors will tend to be older, and more data driven. This is quite different from the young emotionally driven investors that were responsible for last big rise. The stock price will show this.
