disagree with both of your statements. Even if the republicans get in they have reiterated they want the transition from ICe to EV cars to succeed. And China will ensure via stimulus packages that their economy remains robust and expansionary.
You should always be looking ahead as you noted but IMHO your conclusions or interpretation of the outcomes is incorrect.
