Could happen - for all the storm clouds there is a bunch of reality happening.
Russia - have control of a large amount of oil and gas. That market is becoming more unstable and costly. You can throw the Saudis into the unstable bit along with the Republicans.
EVs and Energy in general will become more economical and self reliant with Lithium being a big part of the solution. The rest of the world don't want to be reliant on China, Russia or the US if there is another solution.
This alone is going to push the demand through the roof.
Then throw in domestic power costs - home batteries are getting cheaper and the economics stands up particularly if you have an EV.
Throw in "doing the bit for the planet" when you do the economics and alternative energy sources rather than fossil fuels are really going to shine
