It’s not flu, nor Covid, nor RSV, nor a cold nor man flu. For 2 days straight I have had a dry, spasming cough 24/7 … the top of my wind pipe is so raw I couldn’t eat a mandarin I peeled this morning … I have coughed so much it’s now agonisingly painful on my abdominal muscles every time I cough … whether lying down or sitting up once a spasm of coughing starts it can be 20 seconds before I can breathe shallowly without initiating another round of coughing … 24-36 hrs ago I was all aches and pains but now it’s just dreaded rounds of painful coughing and being tired as for not being able to sleep much … Mrs Dex is getting some cough suppressant on her way back to our apartment later this afternoon … Fri, Sat, Sun was supposed to be my golfing/fishing time this trip … not happening.

Driving home to Sydney tomorrow.

PS … that was a small pot of boiled water with my head covered by a towel (the lens steamed up) breathing steam to try to relax my poor bronchioles
