While I'd prefer SOL hadn't sold, it would have been accumulating additional shares if it's been participating in LAU's DRP.
It still owns more than 18 per cent of the company, and is as entitled as you or I to take profits at its discretion.
That it was able to sell a few significant tranches in the A$1.18-close to A$1.23 range and yet the SP has held up around that $1.18 figure suggests LAU is doing fairly well in constrained economic times (except for Federal and State government spending that proceeds like a bull at a gate).
To state the bleedin' obvious, someone else was happy to purchase SOL's part divested LAU holding.
