A number of issues have confirmed my view of where Australia is heading, and none are good.

1) The ALP and Liberal coalition are essentially two sides of the same coin;
2) Australia is heading in the same Woke direction as the US which is having a devastating effect on the education systems of both nations. Just wait until both male / female pronouns are removed from the respective lexicon of both curricula;
3) China has its State Media as does Russia. Any independent / non-approved media is either hounded by a paramilitary element or operates from abroad, yet still attacked by foreign operatives in those countries. Albo and the wider ALP have the ABC. Any dissenting voice is viewed as right wing, extremist, or racist.
4) There is a widening between classes we've never seen before. As you've asserted, Albo's son is a prime example of the benefits of the political aristocracy. There's also a media / celebrity aristocracy lubricated by the Logies, simply a mutual admiration society.

The elephants in various rooms, such as the worsening housing crisis are placed on the back burner whole pro Woke leftist issues take centre stage. This is why both prominent parties fight each other rather than for the citizenry at large.
We are a first world country with a third world government.
