When I posted about the "three wheeled Messerschmitt's ", I actually wondered how many people would remamber them. I guess, that if they had a more fuel efficient engine, then they would be the perfect vehicle. Only the other day, in the local paper, there was a story (with photos), about the number of cars, that only had the single occupant (ie the driver), as people drove along the freeway, to work.
Certainly, a "three wheeled Messerschmitt" will not be able to tow a caravan, or a boat, but seeing that the idea, is to cut down on carbon emissions, then maybe pleasures, such as caravanning, or boating, should be a thing of the past. What if a billion chinese want to start caravanning, or go boating??? - surely, they are entititled to have 6 cylinder (or 8 cylinder ) vehicles, just the same way, that the people in the gluttonous west are.
Looking back, but a great idea that could have come from the 2020 summit, could have been "solar powered speed boats", along with solar powered, 8 cylinder cars
