After reports that Ukrainian troops advanced on the frontlines yesterday (see our 6.24 post), Ukraine's military has today claimed more gains in its counteroffensive on the southeastern front.
Military spokesman Andriy Kovaliov told national television Ukrainian forces had "success" south of Urozhaine, the village liberated by troops yesterday which had served as a Russian stronghold.
He gave no further details about the operation, but also reported fierce fighting in the northeastern Kharkiv region, and around an eastern village a short distance from Bakhmut.
