Agree completely.
But a conundrum exists. Depending on the age of the politician when leaving Parliament they probably would not be able to access their superannuation so would need to get a job.
Maybe a limit needs to be put on what kind of employment they can get into. How would this be policed?
At the moment it sure is a bonanza.
What also gives me the tom tits is the number of retired/retiring ALP politicians that when out of office go completely against the party line. Ergo the party line (and their sinecure) is far more important to them that the well being of their constituents.
