given the hell the country experienced after communist gov took over, they had a pretty bad shit-show..... purges of people, mass arrests and executions.....
if one wants a good example of communism, Cuba is the place where greater national good was created without the devastation of military dominance and destruction.
yep Vietnam has come out of this ok after 50 years. but much suffering in the making. you could say the same of China. yet still there are legacy issues that left both countries with deep and lasting scars.
