@dolcevita, I notice you never address the issue at hand, which is the performance of the CEO.

He is hired by the BoD to manage the company and he serves at the board's pleasure.

People get demoted, even fired, every day for poor job performance. That just happened to the safety manager on the island of Maui. A human tragedy.

I have laid out the case against SI. I believe he led the company down the wrong path in terms of lead indication. When I ask why he went that way... neither of the two possible answers if very pleasing. Should never have gone down that path as first indication, but he had a chance for a course correction after the first CRL. He failed to do that, rather he led us down the "well-established" dispute resolution path... Now he's finally come around. Better late than never. He is the one who has done severe damage, not me for criticizing him. The person who came closest on this thread to defending the lead indication was @OP. I notice he hasn't responded. We're left with you, gesticulating madly behind the curtain, "All praise the dear leader, don't say anything that might injure his plush-slippered feelings"

I no longer trust SI to manage the company going forward. Keep him on as an advisor, no problem. Is he a fine person and a competent scientist? No doubt. Telling me I would have praised him had he succeeded - which is true - does not restore my trust when I face the hard facts of his failure. I also praise my dentist, my surgeon and my barber when they succeed, in fact anyone who comes at me with a pointy instrument. I even like to pay them a little extra if possible. But I reserve the right to change my opinion.

The CEO is in a position of trust. He knows all the data and the full lay of the land, we don't. Blame the FDA if you like but I doubt it. The data are simply shaky, we talked about it. And FDA wouldn't explain the Novartis failure or the hiccups in the Osiris contract. The managerial mistakes are deep-seated and go back a ways. To make an investment, we have to be able to trust the leader of the enterprise. And this is an enterprise burning cash that is going to need investment, so it isn't just about me. High time for the board to take action. imo, Left-e
