I'm sure there were patches of VG in there - so not a scam per se. I think ultimately the tight drilling proved how poddy it was but by then they had done all the clearing and fwd planning. talk about sunk costs. watching closely for the MRE update, see what gets downgraded and how they report - might find it a 'group report' to mask the variance.
