I work for a very, very large organisation and recently I attended a training course at work. I just could not believe it that at the commencement of my he training we had a ‘ Welcome to Country ‘ statement. I was shocked ! What the hell is going on? We have them before the commencement of meetings. In fact we are having so many Welcome to Country statements - that it’s turning into a joke.
Thing question is how can a non- aboriginal person give a Welcome to Country ( welcome ) on top of all these multiplier welcomes a day?that’s the part I just don’t understand.
