My guess is that ASB will need a cap raise to fund the new yard construction in Mobile.
There are a few news articles circulating which suggest that ASB will spend approx. $300m to develop new yards (presumably for the submarine and aircraft carrier contracts). Articles suggest build will be complete in 2025.
While I would be much more comfortable if this could be debt funded I suspect that a decent equity raise is coming our way. Hopefully not at too much of a discount but expecting shareholder best interests is a bit of a stretch these days!
Thoughts anyone?
