Robust tropical foliage laden trees generally dont crown. They just ember around the trunk. Its the bush, ground fuel and scrub that burns to ash, not the trees. Houses on the other hand will usually burn to the ground once they get going.
As I said, it isn't rocket science. If you've been around bushfire you would know.
