It has likely been down on the back of US gold price sentiment (although Aussie dollar has been holding relatively stable with depreciation of Aussie dollar against US).
Euroz Hartleys today were spruiking Gold Road, stating "It is rare that investors get an opportunity to buy a high quality, long mine life gold producer in WA at a discount (that actually generates cashflow today, not on a spreadsheet), but that is exactly what GOR is presenting to the market at its current share price". I would agree, and hold both WAF and GOR.
One thing I do not understand is leveraged gold plays. The argument that if gold price goes up, they are more likely to increase doesn't seem to ring true. If gold price tracks general inflation (over the long term), then if you're not making money, you'll lose more! However, if you're making 50% margins, then you're margin should increase (at 5% inflation, say cost goes from 100 to 105, but revenue goes from 150 to 157.5, then margin goes from 50 to 52.5). Better risk adjusted way to play the gold price in the long term.
