Journalism has always and will be people's own bias based on a grain of truth. Readers in fact spent most of their time interpreting their bias.

For example I just opened SMH and an article "can we avoid war with China by preparing for war". The writer has already framed China as an enemy for war, so no matter how the reader "analyse and assess" based on what he's written, the writer has already boxed in the reader to think from the perspective that particular country is an enemy.

This is how to brainwash the mass, to box them in a certain context and perspective, while giving them the illusion they're thinking for themselves.
