spot on. my friend who works in medical sales explained this to me. let’s say you’re hired, you go through all the orientation and training which would take a month or two. Then you start getting out to surgeons and develop relationships. The surgeon goes off and does their own research and you work out a date to give it a try and go through all the approval processes etc. before you know it you’re 4 months in with people only just starting to give it a crack. Then there’s the education component which would take a while to get the surgeon up and going on their own. and if it’s a whole surgical team switching then that would take even longer.
