I probably come across a bit 'Doomsday preppy' with my assessment of what we might be able to sell our LIC shares for - you are right that we will most likely be able to get >50% of NTA.

If the BOD are unwilling to buy shares back on market at 70% of NTA then someone will surely give them 'encouragement' sooner or later.

I will be crossing my fingers that ASX shuts down the 'LIC' after 6 months - surely common sense will prevail?!
