"...However the upside for STX was they got to do on the job learning of drilling wells WE2 & 3 must have been well over any budget...."

Absolutely right (for once) ! STX did learn on the job at WE, as we got deeper insights into the geology (tony cortis et al) and were taking extra time and extra money to drill.
When it went wrong/sideways, Stu got in there and fired people. Relentless focus and execution.

The hilarious beauty of it all was though, is STX had WGO paying for 50% of it. Brilliant stuff!! Probably one of the reasons you are always PO'ed and come on here and continue to bleat.

Then when STX had learned how to do things faster, cheaper, better, we pivot to South Eregulla 100% owned dirt.
Massively down the cost curve for drilling - when we have to pay 100%.
    Strategic brilliance!

Will always be indebted to WGO for coughing up the hard earned. You even did it on the final day, as STX sucked multi millions off Gina.
You were the gift that kept on giving..........................
    Slainte!
