I actually do doubt the veracity of many companies on the ASX. Both ASX governance and ASIC are laughable as we are reading day to day.
But I have no doubt whatsoever, that if you are dealing with the SEC in the USA, and are about to IPO on their most glamorous exchange, the NASDAQ, that you are not likely to be telling porkies unless you enjoy prison life!
