Aren't these ones you are referring to nathan21 ones that have gone belly up???....what got me suspicious was the wording major "retail broker"...when you combined with a micro cap stock which assumes they have stock to borrow in the first instance.

BTW you can in fact create a nake short using a CFD given they are the market markers themselves in some instances...but again I'd doubt they'd get involved with this type of micro cap.
