Invictus held talks with the opposition, now “CCC”, prior to the 2018 election. They are also incredibly supportive of the project, of course they are, it has the potential to bring positive change for the entire country. ZANU-PF will most likely win the parliamentary vote due to the spread of seats they have a stronghold in outside the urban areas where CCC have concentrated their campaign. ZANU-PF has access to large amounts of funding for their campaign, CCC does not. CCC have not been clear on their policies, nor their leadership group under Chamisa. The Presidential vote will be closer due to Chamisa’s appeal to the younger demographic, who make up the majority of the population. In the scenario of ZANU-PF regaining government and Chamisa winning the Presidential vote, they will likely form a Government of National Unity which took place after the 2008 election. Coincidentally, that was the biggest term of economic growth the country has seen in the period since.
