Whitehaven Coal, but experienced shareholders claimed the quality of BHP metallurgical assets are of poor quality.
They claim that WHC would be stupid to take it on because the met coal is only suitable as thermal coal.
One of question that I was asked should WHC buy BHP met. Coal….the other was to buy it to prevent foreign ownership.
The quality of coal is beyond my understanding accept for calorific valve.
