Not condoning it, but I had a twang of sympathy for shoplifters (thieves) when i wondered if they were desperate to feed themselves or their family.
I'm afraid that went out the window on learning of targeting of high-value products like Wagyu beef ($50-60/kg?).
Some people really need help, others are just thieves.
