I was hoping someone may be able to provide me with some info re tax and share losses.
My question is:
Can you claim share losses against your total taxable income or only against CGT and dividends within the sharemarket. In other words, can my losses be claimed against my day time income or only on my share trading income?
The reason i post in GMG is because its where most of my losses have come from and i feel the threads are quite active.
This may be a very stupid question, excuse my ignorance if it is.
Only been trading a 12 months, and a bad 12 months its been.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
