Bingo!!! I was right about Walmart. That is huge news.
$499USD would equate to roughly $500-550 AUD revenue per unit. Cost is around $150AUD per unit of production.
Looks like they are discounting ahead of launch of Next Gen product
Bingo again. I was right about a Jan 2024 CES launch for the Next Gen single RealTek chip product
That means any OEM announcments should be very soon.
The main number here is 5000 POS.
Up until now they have only had effectivel 300POS with Best Buy plus a handful of other outlets. Going to 5000 is a 15 fold increase in POS sale.
The big question is what is their avg sale per POS per month.
With Best Buy it appears they were averaging around 1 to 1.1 avg units sold per POS per month. Basicaly around 600 units per qtr give or take.
If we use a low of 0.5 to 1.1 that would equate 7500 to 16500 units per qtr X $499USD to work out revenue.
I am expecting a major OEM announcement, the main issue with the OEM has been the Next Gen single chip and more importantly having a serious distribution network to sell through. OTC hearing aids are claissified as medical devices and so lend themselves to brick and mortar in person sales rather than simply online.
Looks like NUH is finally moving in the right direction. Finally.
