There’s risk for any buyer, but the 4DS strategy to this point has been get the tech proven beyond reasonable doubt that it is commercially viable to dedicate a US$10 billion fab.
However, the risk may be much higher if you don’t get access to the tech. It could be a Kodak moment if you miss out on the Blockbuster deal.
