So, if QAN is still a protected species, and not subject to any form of competition, then why are we paying for all that executive remuneration and obscene bonuses (eg outgoing QAN CEO aggregate remuneration reported to be around $125m plus his termination payouts). QAN should be re nationalised back into public ownership, and the executive remuneration will be a lot less. You are asking for the best of all worlds, optimal commercial outcomes and for Govt (taxpayer) protection at the same time, dinosaur type thinking.
